Obituary

Annalee Bolen Pittman passed away peacefully on her 92nd birthday, in Ben Hur Health and Rehab, Crawfordsville, at 3:35 AM Sunday, July 12, 2026. She resided in Ben Hur since 2022. She was born in Crawfordsville, July 12, 1934 to the late Leland and C. Faye Hutchison Bolen. She was a 1952 graduate of Waynetown High School and married Fred C. Pittman in Waynetown, June 14, 1952, he preceded her in death July 30, 2018.

Annalee was previously employed in retail sales at the former Sears and Danners in the Crawfordsville Mall and many will remember her as ‘Granny’ from the cafeteria at Sommer Elementary School. She was a member of Liberty Chapel Church and the ladies group Night Owls. She enjoyed reading, playing piano, sewing and cooking.

Surviving are: Three daughters; Becki (Tom) Muth of Waynetown, Linda (Steve) Sayler and Janet (Bob) Suiter both of Crawfordsville. Two sons; Don (Mary) Pittman of Deerfield Beach, Fl and Mike Pittman of Crawfordsville. A brother, Tom Bolen of Waynetown, 10 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Fred.

A private family gathering at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate will precede Annalee’s public graveside service 11:30 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with her grandson Kyle Proctor officiating.
