Obituary

Bettie Lou Adams Claycomb age 85 of Crawfordsvile and formerly of Waynetown, passed away at 6:15 AM Tuesday December 10, 2024 in Hickory Creek at Crawfordsville.  She was born in Waynetown March 8, 1939 daughter of the late Victor 'Vic' and Martha Lewis Adams.  She married James 'Jim' Claycomb in Waynetown October 12, 1958 and he survives.

Bettie attended Waynetown schools.  She and Jim lived in Waynetown until the mid 1990s, and they moved to Lafayette for a few years while Jim was employed by the local John Deere dealership there.  They then moved to Crawfordsville where Jim continued his employment with the John Deere dealership.  Bettie was a homemaker and a quiet soul who kept to herself.  She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible daily.

Surviving along with her husband Jim are: two sons; James (Carla) Claycomb of Crawfordsville and Damon (Jennifer) Claycomb of Brownsburg.  A sister; Donna Endicott of Crawfordsville, Eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in- law Frank Endicott and a great-great- grandchild at birth.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 13, 2024 at New Ross Cemetery with Chaplain Mark Roberts officiating.  Memorial contributions can be directed to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.  Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is assisting the Claycomb family.  To sign the guestbook or share a condolence visit us at www.familyandfriendsfh.com
