Crawfordsville – Bowen Kenneth VanHook, 11 days old, passed away in Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital following respiratory complications. He was born March 2, 2018 in Lafayette. He was the son of Brady Russell and Emily Burton VanHook of rural Crawfordsville. 'He fought until his strength was gone.' Surviving along with his parents; are his brother, Mccoy Russell VanHook, age 5 and his sister, Tatum Mae VanHook, age 2. His grandparents, Rick and Melony Bridwell VanHook and Vicki (Kruckow) Burton all of Crawfordsville. Great-grandparents; Kenneth and Jenny Elder of Crawfordsville, Kenneth and Judy Bridwell of Romney, Eulah Jaynes of Crawfordsville. Numerous loving, uncles, aunts, cousins and family friends also survive and mourn his passing.

Visitation hours are 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with funeral services at the funeral home, 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 with Pastor Mindy Huffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Bowen's Tribe @ Hoosier Heartland State Bank to assist with medical expenses. Interment will follow in New Richmond Cemetery.
