Clarks Hill – Carol Anne Bunker, age 78 died in her home following a lengthy illness, 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, October 16, 1937 daughter of the late Charles G. and Nina M. Helper Tetzlaff. She married Jeffery Lee Bunker in South Bend, December 22, 1956 and he preceded her in death.
Carol graduated from high school in South Bend. Following her marriage, she and her husband lived in Bedford and moved to Clarks Hill in 1968. Her husband retired as a Purdue University Police officer. Carol retired from Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union as a teller and loan officer. She had attended St. James Lutheran Church in Lafayette. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and good mystery books.
Survivors include three daughters: Tara Samantha Bunker of Haltom City, TX, Kathryn Marie Goetschius of Clarks Hill and Carla Jean Florek of Lafayette. A son, Charles (Sara) Bunker of Brooklyn, NY. A brother, Wayne Tetzlaff of Grants Pass, OR. Four grandchildren: Shawnna Marie & Brittany Eileen Bennett, Ashleigh Christine & Jeffery Michael Florek. Three great-grandchildren: Matthew Alessandro & Michael Armando Romero and Nichole Grace Florek. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brother Wendell.
