Charles A. 'Charlie' Richman, age 79 of rural Crawfordsville, passed away at 9:29 AM Sunday, November 30, 2025 in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Lebanon, IN February 12, 1946 son of the late James and Marilyn Harlos Richman. He married Judith Mitchell in Crawfordsville on February 15, 1974 and she survives.
Charlie graduated in 1964 with the last class from Pinnell High School in southern Boone County. He was employed by R.R. Donnelley & Sons in Crawfordsville and retired after 43 ½ years of dedicated employment.
Charlie seldom missed attending and video taping his kids and grandchildren's sporting events. He enjoyed fishing, camping, photography and time spent at Charlarose Lake. He and Judy enjoyed traveling the USA on their motorcycle. Charlie founded the NOMONCO Wrestling Club and as a coach took the Montgomery County Little League Allstar Baseball team to the New Albany State Finals.
Surviving along with his wife Judi are: a daughter Sonja Hamner of Pittsboro. Sons; Sean A. Richman of Crawfordsville, Brian (Kristie) McCoy of Crawfordsville, Bradley (Cathy) McCoy of Waynetown, a sister Attarah Craig of Indianapolis. Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation hours are 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Saturday, December 6, 2025 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate with Pastor Mike Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Darlington. Memorial contributions are preferred to, Shop With a Firefighter Local 4143 or Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.
