Waynetown – Daniel R. 'Danny' Dickerson age 57, died Saturday evening, October 29, 2016 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born in Crawfordsville, December 1, 1958 son of Larry 'Bopper' and Linda Fine Dickerson. He married Robin Mitchell, June 13, 2016, they all survive.
Danny was a 1977 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, where he excelled in sports. He was on the 'starting five' of the Basketball team and was voted All Conference as well as MVP his senior year, when Crawfordsville won the Sectional and advanced to the Regionals. He was also a standout out golfer and would modestly tell you, he was voted 'best looking' of his class! He worked as an assistant 'pressman' for 35 years, at a local factory. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.
He loved and enjoyed being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He had a great heart, a positive uplifting attitude, witty, helpful and lived each day to the fullest. He enjoyed being on the golf course as well. In keeping with his giving spirit he offered himself as a 'tissue donor' to help others. So even following his death, he continues to help others. He was a great fan of the Indianapolis 500 and had been a fan and season ticket holder of the Indianapolis Colts. He also was proud to follow and support his son-in-law coach the Crawfordsville basketball team, attending games home and away.
Surviving along with his wife Robin and parents 'Bopper' & Linda, are: a daughter, Jaime (David) Pierce of Crawfordsville; a son, Eric (Jami) Dickerson: two sisters; Teresa Jeffers and Debbie (Jacob) Davis both of Crawfordsville. A step-daughter; Alana (Clint) West of Crawfordsville. Nine grandchildren: Molly, Owen, Cooper, Elijah, Jace, Kierra, Destiny, Emmett, Raelyn. Nieces and nephews; Ryan, Rachel, Cody and Aaron.
