Obituary
David Arthur Greene of Wingate went to be with the Lord Sunday morning, January 5, 2014 at 3:30 am at I.U. Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born August 6th, 1943 to Arthur and Dora Greene in Parke County, Indiana. He graduated from Rosedale High School in 1961. He joined the National Guard in 1962 and served for 6 years.
He was baptized in May of 1986 and was a God-fearing man. He was a devout husband and father. He was always there to help anyone he could. He enjoyed spreading happiness and laughter to others. He enjoyed cooking, being outside, his coy pond and his two little Maltese dogs, Tiffany and Tammy.
He married Carolyn Stephens on May 7th, 1966 and they had two boys. He worked 14 years at Raybestos in Crawfordsville before working for Bane Equipment in Wingate where he retired.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn and their two children, Stephen (Beth) and Dustin, and grandchildren Faith, Hannah, Hope and Jonas Greene, all of Wingate.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David's family will greet guests from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday at Family & Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. A funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday at Family & Friends Funeral Home with Pastor Duane Mycroft officiating. Burial will follow at Dry Run Cemetery near Mellott.
