David ‘Chad’ Keith, age 54 of Crawfordsville, passed away at 6:40 PM Saturday, August 22, 2026 in IU Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, he had been in failing health the past several months. He was born in Terre Haute March 29, 1972 son of Robin Stevens Keith (Prince) and David Wayne Keith they both survive.

‘Chad’ was a 1990 graduate of North Vigo High School in Terre Haute. Following graduation he was employed as a mechanic by the former Minnis International Harvester Farm Equipment Dealership. He was the first employee Minnis’ hired directly out of high school and was a gifted mechanic. After working as a mechanic for many years, he moved to Inverness, AL where he was employed in maintenance at Inverness Golf & Country Club. He moved back to Terre Haute and until his health failed, worked as a brick mason. Chad was proud to have been a hod carrier on Larry Bird’s home. He moved to Crawfordsville to be near his mother when his health failed. He resided in Hickory Creek Health and Rehab the past 18 months.

Chad enjoyed all sports, but first and foremost he was a fanatic Chicago CUBS fan! He had many friends, was known as a jokester and loved to tease everyone. He possessed an outgoing, wonderful personality and never knew a stranger. Though he faced adversity in life, he maintained a positive outlook and encouraged others.

Survivors include: his mother, Robin ‘Marge’ Stevens Prince of Crawfordsville, father David Wayne Keith of Terre Haute, niece and nephews; Taylor (John) Natale, Micholas (Megan) George and Robert Lucas George. Five great-nieces/nephews and several aunts/uncles also survive. Preceding him in death were, Jerry Prince who raised Chad as his own son, a son, David Shane Keith, and sister Christine Marie George.
