Derek Michael Fisher, 70, of LaSalle, IL passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at his home.

Mr. Fisher was born November 2, 1954 in Florida to Robert and Margaret (Hudson) Fisher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and his favorite pastime was strumming his guitar and reminiscing about the good old days.

Survivors include two children, Michael (Joey) Fisher of Peru and Erica (Jason) Rayfield of Cessna Park, IL; four grandchildren, Jack (Tammy) Wessels, Kayla Fisher, Justin Rayfield, and Jamie Rayfield; one great-grandson, Tobi Fisher; his mother, Margaret Starkey of Williamsport, IN; his sister, Stephanie Starkey of Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Nancy Starkey of Mark; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Jeff Starkey.

A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Friends and Family Funeral Home of Wingate (9700 North State Road 55  Wingate, IN  47994) Illinois arrangements were entrusted to the Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home, LaSalle, and local arrangements by Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate.
