New Richmond - Donal A. Graves age 89, of New Richmond, passed away, 2:50 AM Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.  He was born in Allen County, Kentucky, April 13, 1929 son of the late Wash and Minnie Stafford Graves.  He married Jessie J. Rolen on December 8, 1953 in Knoxville, TN and she survives.

He attended school in Petroleum, KY and served with the Army Engineers 1951-1952.  They moved to New Richmond in 1965 and he was employed 50 plus years in the building trades with Local 274 Laborer/Hod Carriers, Lafayette.  Donal was a very helpful person and would do anything for anyone.  He took pride in his garden and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving along with his wife Jessie: a son Darvie (Carol) Graves of New Richmond, two grandchildren; Sarah Graves and David (Cyndi) Graves, a great-grandchild Ethan David Graves. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Hoy Graves, a brother Willard Graves and three sisters Levera, Naoma and Evelyn.

Visitation hours are 12:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with funeral services following the visitation at 2:00 PM with Pastor Rick Fay officiating.  Burial will follow in New Richmond Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assn. or PhysioCare Hospice of Lafayette.  Visit us online at www.familyandfriendsfh.com to sign the guestbook or leave a memory.
