New Richmond – Donna Jean Harney Oswalt, age 67 of New Richmond, died as a result of a heart attack Monday, September 29 2014 at 4:18 p.m. in St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. She was born in Douglas, Michigan, August 26, 1947 daughter of the late Jay and Wilna Fern Wirth Harney. She married David L. Oswalt in Wingate, on July 20, 1968 and he survives.

Donna attended Crawfordsville High School and had worked as a CNA for several years. Following their marriage, they lived in Wingate and moved to New Richmond in 1975. She enjoyed being a stay at home mother and housewife. She was a 44 year member of the Wingate Canasta Club.

She enjoyed time with her family, her horses, dogs and gong to flea markets.

Surviving along with her husband David: a son Eric (Angel) Oswalt of Veedersburg and daughter Stacy Oswalt King of Brookston. Four grandchildren: Reagan and Reece Oswalt, Ayden and Paige King. A brother, Ron (Lily) Harney of Rockville. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Family & Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 with Pastor Randy Skidmore officiating. Entombment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
