New Richmond – Elaine K. Pendleton Lidester, age 69, died at 2:46 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 in Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital. She had been in failing health the past few years. She was born in Lafayette, March 27, 1948 to Barbara Louise Miner who survives in West Lafayette and the late Roy J. Pendleton. She married Larry Lee Lidester on December 18, 1966 in Wingate and he preceded her in death October 1, 2013.

Elaine was a graduate of Coal Creek Central High School with the class of 1966. She had worked for Sears and retired from TDS (Tri County Telephone) as a customer service rep. She attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Crawfordsville. She and Larry had enjoyed traveling and she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving along with her mother, are: two daughters; Dawn Lidester and Natalie Lidester both of Linden, two grandsons; Tyler Jackson and Richard Lidester, three great-grandchildren; Austin & Thomas Lidester and Conor Jackson. Two sisters; Kathleen Phillips of Lafayette and Diana (Bailey) Weaver of Leesburg, FL a brother; Roy (Kris) Pendleton, Jr. of West Point. Sister-in-laws Linda Safta of Phoenix, AZ and Pat Kerr of Apple City, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband and father.

Visitation hours are 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, Wednesday, July 19, 2017 with Brother Nick Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Meharry Cemetery.
