Eric Lee Risner age 56 of Wingate, passed away at 4:55 AM Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in his home surrounded by family following a battle with cancer.  Eric was born in Lafayette, June 25, 1967 son Linda Kay White Curry and the late Jerry Lee Risner.  He married Gina Todd in Crawfordsville, August 22, 2007 and she survives.

Eric attended North Montgomery High School and for the past seven years was employed as a garage mechanic for Harrison Steel Castings, Attica.  He was previously employed by Banjo in Crawfordsville and Pipher's Garage in Wingate.

Eric loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing (anything fast!) and AC/DC.

Surviving along with his wife Gina are: a son; Brett (Chelsea) Risner of Crawfordsville, two daughters; Amber (Garrett) Johnston of Frankfort and Paige Yund of Wingate and son Ethan Risner of Bloomington.  His mother; Linda Curry of Wingate. Three sisters; Laurie (Jim) Churchill of Warsaw, Misiti (Darrell) Kirby of rural Wingate and Pam (Bob) Gremmels of California and his brother Chad Risner of Crawfordsville. Seven grandchildren: Chloe, Meadow, Tori, Remi, Kael, Liam and Beau.  He is also survived by his dog Ginger, and his rescue cats from Harrison Steel; Lucky, Grayson, Wiskers and Purrl, as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Jerry.

Visitation hours are 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2024 with funeral services following at 2:00 with Pastor Wally Nichols officiating at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate.  Burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wingate. Memorial contributions may be directed to Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County.   The family request guests wear AC/DC shirts.
