Jeffery 'Big' A. Rainwater, age 60 of rural Kingman, died Friday, July 4, 2025 in his home, following period of failing health.  He was born in Lafayette to the late George Willis and Diana Lyn Payne Rainwater.

Big was a 1983 graduate of Fountain Central High School and worked many years at R. R. Donnelley & Sons, Crawfordsville.  He enjoyed being outdoors. He was very passionate about  hunting, archery, fishing, mushrooming and hunting deer sheds.  If he wasn't in the woods, he was usually surrounded by friends and family.  Big didn't know a stranger.

Surviving 'Big' are two daughters; Marissa (Justin) Davis and their son Ryder of Williamsport & Lacey Danielle Rainwater of Attica and their mothers, Lisa Lamie of Attica and Tammy Robbins of Williamsport.  A sister; Heather Odle (long time best friend Paul 'Rocky' Rutledge) of Kingman. Two brothers; Kevin Rainwater of Winamac and Brian (Heather) Rainwater of Terre Haute. Step-sister Christina (Kelly) Lawrence of Racine, WI.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
