Crawfordsville – Joseph Paloski, Jr. age 80, formerly of Highland, passed away unexpectedly at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Whitlock House, Crawfordsville, where he had resided the past 3 years. He was born in East Chicago, on February 5, 1938 son of the late Joseph and Cecilia Fus Paloski. He was married to Carole Stanish in November of 1964 in East Chicago. She preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his discharge he attended Indiana University for two years. He was employed by the Rorer Pharmaceutical Company and retired as 'warehouse manager'. He had been a member of the American Legion. He and his wife enjoyed traveling after their retirement. Joe was a sports fan and enjoyed following Notre Dame and IU.
Surviving are two daughters; Trish (Mike) McCarty of Crawfordsville and Jill (Dan) Beaton of Ossing, NY, seven grandchildren and a brother Gerald Paloski of Schererville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister Lois Holland.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Calvary Chapel, Crawfordsville. He will be inurned with graveside services and military rites at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. John/St Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Hammond.
