Joyce Ann Hall Spencer age 77 of rural Crawfordsville, passed away unexpectedly at 1:16 PM Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the ER of Franciscan Health Hospital, Crawfordsville. She was born July 10, 1945 in Danville, IL daughter of the late Floyd A. Hall and Frank & Deloris Ann Reed Bowman.

Joyce was a graduate of Perrysville High School, had lived in Veedersburg before moving to the Crawfordsville area in 1995. She retired from R. R. Donnelley & Sons after 30 years employment.

Joyce's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren who were her world. She was also very fond of her 'Grand Dog' Hank. She loved the Christmas season and sharing gifts with the kids. She enjoyed being outdoors and maintained a one acre lawn.

Surviving are: a son; Travis (Kristy) Dockins of Ladoga and Tara (Jamey) Ritter of Crawfordsville. Grandchildren: Daryl (Wilson) Mendoza, Alex (Jacob) Hemphill, Christian Oliver and Jakob (Ryleigh) Ritter. Great-grandchildren; Draven Oliver and soon to be born Haddie Hemphill. A step-brother Mike (Becky) Bowman also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Hall, Frank & Deloris Bowman and two brothers Gary Hall and Jerry Bowman.

Visitation hours are noon - 2:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2023 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dan Aldrich officiating at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Burial will follow in Lower Mound Cemetery, Covington. Memorial contributions are preferred to be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.
