Judy L. Myers Stevens, 85, of rural Medaryville, passed away peacefully at 11:15 AM, Thursday, March 25, 2021 at home surrounded by family and friends. Judy was born on September 13, 1935 in Francesville, Indiana, daughter of the late Ralph and Vivian Judy Myers and they preceded her in death.  On March 24, 1957, Judy married the love of her life Jack Stevens in Francesville and he preceded her in death June 12, 2016.

She was a 1953 graduate of Francesville High School and was a 1955 graduate of dental assistant school in Elkhart.  Judy began working as a secretary at the Francesville Elementary School for West Central School Corporation in January 1972 and continued her career with West Central School Corporation as they moved to the current location retiring in 1997 to enjoy more time with her family and friends.

Judy was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Francesville and the former Independence Methodist Church.  She enjoyed golfing and was a member at Moss Creek Country Club and a member of Red Hatters Club of Francesville. She was an avid West Central basketball fan. Judy enjoyed attending her grandchildren's various activities. Judy was a devoted and compassionate woman who loved her husband, children, grand-children and great-grandchildren along with the many wonderful friends she cherished. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include: son Craig L. (Joanne) Stevens, Medaryville, daughter; Lyn M. Stevens, Granger, Indiana, daughter; Shelly B. (Joseph) Sierzputowski, Mishawaka, Indiana, five grandchildren; Justin, Jordan, Jake, Tiffani and Trevor, three great grandchildren, sister-in-law Lois Pless of Indianapolis as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by: her husband Jack D. Stevens, parents, Dalton and Dillon Sierzputowski, twin grandsons and sisters; Elizabeth (Myers) Overmyer, Dr. Virginia (Myers) Mermel, and brother Ralph Thomas 'Thom' Myers.

Please note:  For safety and convenience, visitation/services will be held at Meadow Springs, located at 8631 US Hwy 421 Francesville, IN 47946 (Intersection of US 421 & Indiana 114).  Visitation hours are 4:00 – 7:00 PM EST Tuesday, March 30, 2021, with funeral services 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 with Pastor Dennis Gutwein (friend & neighbor) officiating.  Judy will be laid to rest in Independence Cemetery following the service.  Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is assisting Judy's family.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Riley Hospital for Children.  Please follow the guidelines of the Indiana State Board of Health in regard to Covod-19.  Visit us at www.familyandfriendsfh.com to sign the guest book or share a memory.
