Waynetown – Kathy L. Hopkins Perigo, age 66, of Waynetown, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 in her home, following an extended illness. She was born in Crawfordsville, December 10, 1951, daughter of the late James Orville and Delores Dorothy Higbee Hopkins. She married John Perigo, November 2, 1985 in Waynetown and he survives.

Kathy was a graduate of Fountain Central High School with the class of 1970. She was employed as an 'order filler' at the Walmart Distribution Center in Crawfordsville for 19 years and previously was employed at the F&F Mart in Waynetown. She loved her family and where you saw Kathy you saw John. Her grandchildren were very special to her and her life revolved around them. She was always eager for a shopping trip and was 'Black Friday Crazy'. Kathy was a wonderfully giving person. It was a real joy for her to be involved in the 'Reindeer Program', where Christmas gifts were provided for children in need.

Surviving along with her husband John are: a son; Brian (Dianna) Verhey of Waynetown, a daughter; Jodi (Jason) Greenlee of Waynetown, step-son; Corey (Lori) Perigo of Crawfordsville, eight grandchildren. A sister; Judy (companion George) Frazier of Donna, TX and a brother; Dennie (Donna) Hopkins of Waynetown. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Mickey.

Visitation hours are 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with funeral services, 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at the funeral home with David Rusk officiating.
