Waynetown – Kenneth Ray Goldsby age 55 of Waynetown, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Crawfordsville, February 3, 1958 son of the late Teddy and Margaret Frances Fifer Goldsby. He was married to Tammy Dowell Goldsby, March 1, 1981 in Darlington and she survives.
Kenny graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1976 and had been employed as a fork truck operator at Raybestos for 23 plus years, before retiring due to his failing health. They moved to Waynetown from Crawfordsville in 2011.
Kenny was a family man and enjoyed time spent with them, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed attending festivals, carpentry work and tinkering in his garage.
Surviving along with his wife Tammy, is a son: Ryan Kenneth Goldsby (fiance' A.J. Ryan) of Crawfordsville, sister: Kathy (Mike) Carrell of Waynetown, brother: Kevin (Dawn) Goldsby of Wingate, two grandchildren: Corbin & Julien. He was preceded in death by his parents.
His family with receive guests, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Family & Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Vernon Dowell officiating. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow his funeral.
