Larry Linn Foster, age 60, of Crawfordsville, died at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2017 in Franciscan Alliance Hospital, Greenwood. He was born in Perry, Iowa August 3, 1957 to the late Charles and Kay Dudgeon Foster. He married Sylvia Diane Tate Foster in Darlington on November 6, 1982 and she survives.

Larry graduated form North High School in Des Moines, IA and earned an AS in Design and Drafting from IVY Tech State College. He was employed as design engineer for Alcoa, HC Industries and Nor-Cote International for over 34 years.

Larry loved music, he enjoyed making his own CDs and did DJ work. He enjoyed gardening, reading and collected baseball cards. Many would remember Larry being involved with the Crawfordsville Softball leagues. He enjoyed collecting antiques and woodworking. But most of all he was a spiritual family man who loved his family and enjoyed traveling to Kellerton, IA to visit family.

Surviving along with his wife Sylvia, are: two daughters, Sarah Kay (Travis) Kohl of Crawfordsville and Elizabeth Rebecca (Austin) Foster Spurgeon of Wingate and a son, Isaiah William James (Megan) Foster of Crawfordsville. Two brothers, Royce (Peggy) Foster of Darlington and Randy (Kathy) Foster of Des Moines, IA, three sisters, Myrna Foster of Johnston, IA, Cheryl (Ralph) Smith of Ankeny, IA and Tammra Foster of Ankeny, IA. Four granddaughters: Ella, Evie, Kaya and Harper. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Crystal Lynn, two brothers, Michael and Gary.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in Oak Hill Cemetery North, Crawfordsville with Pastor Joshua Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations should be directed to his family to assist in defraying hospital expenses. Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is assisting with arrangements.
