Louise Tyra 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 28, 2016 following a lengthy illness.
She was born February 11, 1943 in Wolf County Kentucky to Lee and Prudy Campbell Dalton and they preceded her in death. She was raised and attended school in Kentucky. Louise was previously employed by RMC in Attica, Green Giant Foods, Landis Gear and retired from TRW all in Lafayette.
Surviving are her six children: Kenneth Tyra and Anthony Tyra both of Lafayette, Kathy Ingram (Andy) of Texas, Greg Tyra (Launa) of Newtown, Jamey L. (Jana) of Lafayette, and Crystal Bowers (Adam) of Brookston.
Also surviving are two sisters: Virginia Brown of Ohio and Rose Brown of Kentucky, and a brother Kenneth Dalton (Sandy) of Ohio. She had 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Dalton, and sister, Linda Gould.
She loved her family and friends very much and would like to see them all again in heaven someday. She would love you all to know that that it is only possible by calling on the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Louise attended Harvest Chapel in Williamsport, IN and was an avid reader. She was a very kind hearted person and took in both people and stray animals when they needed care. She enjoyed being involved with her grandchildren.
Visitation hours are 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate and a funeral/celebration of Louise's life 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Camp officiating.
