Mabel Helen Land Geiger age 81 of Crawfordsville, passed away at 10:16 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital.    Mabel was born in West Lebanon, IN February 20, 1943 daughter of the late Samuel and Helen Kennedy Land, she was one of 12 children.  She married Morris Geiger in West Lebanon December 26, 1964 and he preceded her in death December 26, 2022.

Mabel attended West Lebanon Schools, was a homemaker and operated a day care in her home for 20 plus years.  She and Morris had previously resided in New Richmond for 20 years before moving to Crawfordsville.  She was a member of Whitesville Christian Church.  She was a very wholesome, private person who always put her family first.  She enjoyed crafting, puzzles and crocheting.

Surviving are: two daughters; Charlotte Mikels of South Carolina and Karen J. Geiger of Crawfordsville.  A step-son, Brian Geiger of South Carolina, brother Larry Land of Florida.  Grandchildren; Amy Vesterman, Amanda Dixon, Katie Toves, Kelly Kirk and Ali Hyland, seven great-grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Morris, daughter Brenda, ten brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at New Richmond Cemetery with Pastor Mike Whitaker officiating, at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2024.  Family and Friends Funeral Home is assisting with Mabel's arrangements.  Visit us online at www.familyandfriendsfh.com to sign the guest book or share a condolence.
