Marjorie Ann Kunkel Cox, age 86, died on Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016 at her home in Romney. She was born on February 28, 1930 in Linden, IN to the late Fowler E. and Elizabeth B. (Vail) Kunkel. She married Howard D. Cox on October 5, 1949 in Crawfordsville and he preceded her in death.
Marjorie attended New Richmond High School and lived most of her life in New Richmond as a housewife until moving to Romney with her husband in 1973. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and watching IU basketball.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Steve (Debbie) Cox of Fishers, IN and daughter, Vicki (Bill) Martin of New Richmond: grandchildren, Sarah (Matthew) Kelp of New Richmond, IN, Laura (Joshua) Devine of Fishers, IN and Jason Cox of Plainfield, IN. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren: Lauren & Nolan Kelp, Rylee & Ava Devine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, granddaughter Jill Elizabeth Martin, brothers: Donald Kunkel and Ralph Kunkel, her sisters, Maxine Bridge and Betty Ellis.
There will be gathering of family and friends, 5:00- 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, followed by a celebration of Marjorie's life at 7:00 p.m. led by Pastor John Pettigrew.
