Crawfordsville – Mildred Holt Fulwider, age 89, died following an extended illness, 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in The Lane House, Crawfordsville. She was born near Waynetown, August 24, 1925, daughter of the late Thomas Logan and Odessa Emily Neal Holt. She married Harold Morris Fulwider on July 22, 1944 and he preceded her in death.

Mildred graduated from Wingate High School with the class of 1943. She was a busy homemaker, was a member of the Maple Grove Home Ec. Club and had belonged to the Waynetown Christian Church.

She was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, loved sports, card games and country music. Her helpful, and happy personality will be missed by all who knew her. She was a very encouraging and supportive person known for sending cards and letters to family and friends.

Surviving are, two daughters; Kathy (Jack) Gelzleichter of Lake Holiday and Jeanne Rush of Crawfordsville, two sons; Randy Fulwider and Tom Fulwider, both of Crawfordsville., two sisters; Grace Irvin of Wingate and Lois (Bob) Steelsmith of Waynetown. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; Carrie (Dan) Kerns, Aaron (Angie) Rush, Brandon Rush, Doug and Don Gelzleichter, Jobi, Kelly, Jacob and Merry Fulwider, three great-grandchildren; Tristen Rush, Kendall and Brooklyn Kerns. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Lowell and Tom Holt and grandson Jeffrey.

Her visitation will be, Saturday, November 15, 2014 noon – 3:00 p.m. at Family & Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, North, Crawfordsville. In lieu of flowers, her family asks for memorial contributions to be directed to Montgomery County Animal League, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
