August 1, 1935 – May 20, 2024
Nina Ruth Edmonds Cotham, age 88 of Rockville who had been living with her daughter Vickie Lynd in Waynetown the past year, passed away in Carle Bromenn Hospital, Normal, IL, Monday evening, May 20, 2024. Nina had been visiting her daughter Donna in Illinois. She was born August 1, 1935 in Crawford, Nebraska to the late Leonard Norman Edmonds and Mary Ann Degunia Edmonds Neff. She married Marvin J. Cotham in Arkansas in 1952 and he preceded her in death.
She attended school in Nebraska and later moved to the Pontiac, IL area. She was employed in Livingston Manor Nursing Home as a CNA for many years. She previously was an Avon Representative.
Nina was a Christian woman who loved the Lord, her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Over the years she enjoyed Hummingbirds, Butterflies, gardening, crocheting.
Surviving are: three daughters; Beverly (Wayne) McPherson of Fisher, IL, Vickie Lynd of Waynetown, IN and Donna (Bill) Curry of Lexington, IL. Grandchildren: Angela Little, Josh (Dawn) McPherson, Nathan (Margaret) Lynd, Caleb (Holly) Lynd, Jeremy (Emily) Lynd, Heather Lynd, Amanda (Brian) Geiselman, Mindy (Chris) Noel and Shane (Tish) Curry. A step-brother Ronald Neff of New Mexico and special extended family member Bobby Molton also survives in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and son-in-law Dennis Lynd, grandchildren; Ryan Dodge, Dennis Lynd, Jr, Joel Lynd, great-grandchild Abagail Lynd and her step-father Jim Neff.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2024 in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with her grandson Nathan Lynd officiating. Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is assisting Nina's family. Visit us online to sign the guest book or share a condolence at www.familyandfriendsfh.com
