Patricia Ann "Pat" Barker, 83, of Waynetown passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. She was born December 31,1932 to the late Rayburn and Esther (Ollman) Darrough. Pat graduated from Waynetown High School in 1951. She married James "Jim" Barker on June 23, 1951 and he survives.
Pat retired from National City Bank in 1993. She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church, where she taught the primary Sunday School class, and the Maple Grove Home Ec. Club. She was also a member of the Celiac Disease Support Group. Pat enjoyed dancing, crocheting, cross stitch, sewing and attending her grandchildren's many activities.
Surviving along with her husband are, three daughters: Vicki Rush of Waynetown, Vanessa Homsher of Crawfordsville and Carla (Jim) Whitehead of Waynetown. Also surviving are, grandchildren: Courtney (Chad) Buckles, Lindsey Rush (Katie Harris), Jared (Courtney) Rush, Angie Homsher, Shawn Homsher (Shelbi Henry), Brett (Angela) Whitehead, Chris Whitehead and great grandchildren Bryant and Griffin Buckles, Addison Harris, Abby Homsher, Cameron and Kellen Whitehead; a sister Marjorie Ohl and sister-in-law Mary Barker. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Rayburn Jr., John, Don and Jerry; son-in-law Wayne Rush and brother-in-law George Barker.
Pat's family will greet guests, Thursday, September 8 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm with funeral services at 3:00 pm at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate with Rev. Ron Raffignone officiating. Burial will follow in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Waynetown Baptist Church, with envelopes being available at the funeral home.
