Obituary

Wingate – Patricia 'Pat' A. Naylor Stine, age 91 passed away, 6:30 PM Friday, November 2, 2018 in Mulberry Health, she had been in failing health.  She was born September 6, 1927 in Webster City, Iowa, daughter of the late Ivyl and Hazel Ray Naylor.  She was married to Raymond Stine at the Stidham United Methodist Church and he preceded her in death March 26, 2015.
Pat attended school through her junior year at Wea, and graduated from Stockwell High School.  Following graduation, she was employed by the Tippecanoe County Cooperative Extension Office, it was there she met her future husband.  Pat and Ray were married August 7, 1948.   In March of 1963 she and Ray moved their family from the Buck Creek area and began farming in the Wingate community.   Pat assisted with activities on the farm, she was a great cook and the farm help could always expect a tasty meal.
She was active in New Hope Chapel Church as a Sunday School teacher, assisted with VBS and the Champs Program.  She served as a 4-H Leader and was instrumental in helping many young ladies learn how to sew and make yeast rolls.  Pat was also active in the local Home Extension club and served as county President. She enjoyed the role as homemaker and took great pleasure in hosting family gatherings.  You would have been hard-pressed to not find cookies in her cookie jar! She was an 'amazing lady full of grace, dignity and kindness'.
Surviving are two children; daughter, Becky (Ed) Miller of Ligonier and son, Steve (Kristi) Stine of Wingate.  Four Grandchildren: Jennifer (Mike) Flora, Kelly (Josh) Hoffman, Sina (Mickey) Parks and Matt (Rachel) Stine.  Great-grandchildren: Isaac and Grant Flora, Kaden Parks, Grace, Milly, Campbell and Everett Stine, Everly and Oakley Hoffman.  Also surviving is a sister, Virginia Bush Simison, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Kermit Naylor, two sisters, Phyllis Gregg and Nancy Cripe.
Visitation hours are 5:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate.  Funeral services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Mycroft officiating. Burial will follow in Greeenlawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to New Hope Chapel, Wingate.  Visit us online to leave a condolence or sign the guest book at www.familyandfriendsfh.com
