Patricia E. Neukom, 86, of Fort Wayne, entered life eternal at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Miller's Merry Manor in Huntington.
She was born May 9, 1935 in Allen County, Indiana a daughter of Robert and Mary L. (Boger) Ransom. She completed her education at Central High School in Fort Wayne.
On November 8, 1952 she married her first love Donald E. Neukom. With his Air Force career, they made their home in Texas, Mississippi, Indiana, Newfoundland Canada, Wyoming and California. After Don's retirement from the United States Air Force, they returned to Indiana living in Churubusco and Fort Wayne. Don preceded Pat in death on February 12, 2014.
She was a licensed broker assistant in the insurance industry, also worked in real estate and was an EMT for many years in Churubusco. She was a member of Churubusco V.F.W. Post #3846.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Cheri L. (Jack) Wilker of Greendale, IN and Conni S. (Ritter) Cox of Columbia City, IN; a step son, Donald R. Neukom of Elkhart, IN; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer (Chuck) Magers, Todd (Tangerine) Lamle, Jeremy (Liz) Hooten, Travis (Mindy) Hooten, Jessica (Adam) Ross, Torri (Bryan) Maley, Cory (Rachel) Cox, Cynthia Neukom, Michelle Neukom and D.J. Neukom; 20 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Rita) Ransom of Churubusco; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Ransom and James Ransom.
Private graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn, IN. Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate is assisting the family
