Wingate – Patricia Ann 'Pat' Stonebraker Thompson, age 84, of Wingate, passed away at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2019 in her daughter's home.  She had been in failing health the past several years.  She was born in Crawfordsville June 24, 1935 daughter of the late Ora Montel and Loma Louise Conrad Stonebraker.  She married Lawrence 'Doc' Thompson in Crawfordsville, July 1, 1961 and he survives.

Pat attended Crawfordville Schools, was a waitress for years in several restaurants and had worked in local factories.  She spent a considerable amount of time on the road, in the semi with Doc, seeing the U.S.A.  She and Doc had made their home in Wingate since 1979.

She enjoyed bowling, bingo, camping and reading.  She loved being a homemaker for Doc and her family.  She had a great sense of humor, was full of love and always there for her family and friends.  She was 'street smart' with good common sense and you could count on her advice.  Even as her own health was failing, she was a caregiver to her mother and sister.  Doc was her faithful, constant caregiver for nearly two years and the past month her daughter Cindy took over her care.

Surviving along with her husband 'Doc' are: her daughter Cindy (Roger) Myers of Crawfordsville and grandson; Mikie Groves and great-grandchildren Ashten and Landyn Groves.  Life-long friend Nancy Campbell of New Market and several nieces and nephews also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother George Walter Stonebraker and sister Betty Cox

Visitation hours are, noon - 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2019  at Family and Friends Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Stoll officiating, burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wingate.
