Percie Odell Sandlin Jr. age 63 of Attica, passed away at 3:20 AM Friday, September 6, 2024 in IU/Arnett Hospital Lafayette following a battle with cancer.  He was born in Danville, IL December 19,1960 son of Percie Odell Sr. and Ronna Lea Cox Sandlin and they survive in Mellott.

Percie attended Fountain Central High School and lived in Attica the past 20 years moving there from Mellott.  He retired from Harrison Steel Casting in February 2024, where he was employed as a 'burner'.

Percie was a member of the Attica Moose Lodge, was an avid pool player, enjoyed time with his family, a Colts, Cubs and Budweiser fan!

Survivors include: his parents, Percie Odell and Ronna Lea Sandlin of Mellott. Sister, Ronda (Steven) Mitton of Attica; three brothers: Bernie (Debbie) Sandlin, Rod Sandlin and Cody Sandlin all of Mellott.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, many aunts & uncles and a nephew Jacob Simmons.

Visitation hours are 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024 with funeral services following at 1:00 PM at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate.  Burial will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery near Veedersburg.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Paws'n'claws Animal Shelter, Attica.  Visit us online at www.familyandfriendsfh.com to sign the guest book or share a condolence.
