R. Louise (Pearson) Wiggins, age 94 of Williamsport, IN, formerly of Newtown, IN, died on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital.
Louise was born on December 14, 1921 in Warren County. She was the daughter of Asa & Fredericka (Vester) Pearson. She was a 1940 graduate of Williamsport High School. She married Raymond Wiggins of Mellott, IN on May 10, 1941 & he preceded her in death on November 9, 1962.
Louise was a farm wife until the death of her husband, then moved to Lafayette, IN & worked as a floral designer at Clark Floral until retiring in 1987 & moving to Newtown, IN. She was a member of the Newtown Community Church where she had many friends. Louise was also an auxiliary member of Quigle-Palin Post of the American Legion.
She liked to garden & visit with friends. She also liked working jigsaw puzzles & was active in church activities when she was able.
Surviving are a son, Robert A. (Patty) Wiggins of rural Attica, IN; a daughter, Sharon D. (Bill) Hartman of Ionia, MI; one grandson, Scott (Paula) Wiggins; three step-grandchildren, Tracey Wagner, Joe Foust & Andy (Rachel) Foust; three great-grandchildren, Bryce, Brent & Faith Wiggins; four step-great grandchildren & three step-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Pearson & one sister, Ruth (Pearson) Godbey.
Friends may call at Family & Friends Funeral Home of Wingate on Friday, November 25, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be Saturday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown, IN. Memorial contributions may be directed to Newtown Community Church.
