Randall Gene Shoaf age 69, (Veedersburg native) of Columbus, Georgia passed away at 11:30 AM Sunday, November 11, 2018 in IU West Hospital, Avon.  He had been in failing health the past several months.  He was born in Danville, IL September 15, 1949, son of the late Robert and Lucretia Verrill Shoaf .

Randall graduated from Fountain Central High School with the class of 1968.  He then attended and graduated from Rose Hulman in 1972 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.  He was a 'place kicker' for the Rose Hulman football team and many records he achieved still stand.  He was an avid golfer until his failing health prevented him from playing. Randall was first employed by Bohn (now Lennox) in Danville, IL.  He was transferred to Columbus, Georgia in 1982 and was employed by and retired from Lennox after being employed 1972-2015.

He is survived by his sister, Kay Shoaf of Indianapolis and preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation hours are 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November  14, 2018 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate.  Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating.  Burial will follow in Rockfield Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Fountain Central High School Scholarship Fund.  Visit us online at www.familyandfriendsfh.com to leave a condolence or sign the guest book.
