Reva Marie Fields Jones of West Point passed away Monday morning at St. Mary's Healthcare in Lafayette. She was 88.
Born September 28, 1925 at Covington, she was the daughter of Harry and Maleta Knecht Fields. On January 19, 1944 she married Harry "Gene" Jones at Williamsport. He preceded her in death September 16, 1984.
Reva is a graduate of Covington High School and had been a resident of West Point since the early 1950's. For several years she worked at Vogue Cleaners at Lafayette and the West Point Grocery.
She was a member of Odell ""Shawnee" Order of the Eastern Star, the West Point United Methodist Church and enjoyed her family, dancing, music and her pets.
Surviving family members include daughters Janet Sue Modricker and Donna Kay Jones, both of Lafayette; grandchildren Jeff and Rick Geisler, Kelly Modricker VanGlabbeek, Scott Eugene Johnson and Karla Kay Johnson Hernandez; great-grandchildren Justin, Amber, Josie, Colton, Joshua, Alyssa, Gabriella, Danielle, Nathan, Thea and Drew; great-great grandchildren Christian and Chase; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Ralph Fields.
Her family will receive guests from 2:00pm to 3:00pm Friday, July 18 at Family and Friends Funeral Home in Wingate. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 3:00pm with Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating. Burial will be at West Point Cemetery.
