Obituary
Richard William Willhite of New Richmond passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 52.
Born September 25, 1957 in Montgomery County, he is the son of Richard M. and Judith Cronin Willhite. He graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1975. On July 9, 1975 he married Dorinda Thompson. She survives.
Mr. Willhite was a pipe fitter for 31 years as a member of Local 157. He enjoyed cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving family members include his wife Dorinda Willhite of New Richmond; daughter Tonya Willhite of Indianapolis; son Craig Willhite of Linden; brother Robert Willhite of Crawfordsville; sisters Anna (Roger) Miller of New Richmond, Sherry (Leon) Smith of New Richmond; maternal grandmother Anna J. Little of Williamsport; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents Walter and Mattie Willhite and maternal grandfather William Cronin.
A funeral service for Richard will be 11:00am Saturday at Family and Friends Funeral Home, 9700 North State Road 55, Wingate with Pastor Allen Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North in Crawfordsville. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
