Obituary
Robert Gene Grimes, Jr. of Hillsboro passed away Thursday evening at his home. He was 56.
Born July 11, 1957 at Crawfordsville, he was the son of Robert Gene Grimes, Sr. and Anna Lucille (Smith) Grimes. He attended school in Waynetown and had been a tree trimmer as well as a carpenter. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing.
He married Pamela Edwards in Covington on August 26, 1998. She survives.
Additional surviving family members include daughters Dawn (Raven Hathaway) Grimes of Veedersburg, Caitlin Grimes of Hillsboro; brothers Frank (Karen) Grimes of Crawfordsville, Rick Grimes of California, Dennis Grimes of Longview, Texas, Scott (Brenda) Grimes of Crawfordsville, James Fry of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters Marlene Grimes, Denise (Denny) Starkey of Covington, Robin (Tim) Howard of Aubrey, Texas and grandson Rion Wyatt-Gene Hathaway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roger Smith and infant sister Lisa Lou.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
