Newtown - Ronald O. Chastain age 55 of 201 E. Clay St. Newtown, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009 in his residence. He was born in Williamsport, IN on December 12, 1953 the son of the late Orval "Bud" and Lucille Pearson Chastain of Attica. He graduated from Attica High School and had attended Indiana State University.

He recently had been employed at Harrison Steel Castings in Attica for 11 years and previously at C & D Technology also in Attica. He was an avid Nascar fan especially backing Tony Stewart, enjoyed camping and his nieces and nephews.

Surviving are two sisters: Karen (Art) Bracken of Attica and Linda (Dean) Elmore of Williamsport. Also surviving are nieces: Nicki Hanthorn, Shannon Williams and Sherri Effinger. Nephews: Scott Elmore and Adam Bracken. Nine great nieces/nephews and two special friends: Nicole Coffing and Jennifer Pritchard also survive.

The family will greet guests from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9th, 2009 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. A memorial service conducted by the family will begin at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions to American Cancer Society. Online condolences to www.familyandfriendsfh.com
