RoseMarie Harrington Mattingly, age 74, of rural Crawfordsville, died, at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 in her daughter Tammy's home, following a battle with cancer. She was born in Indianapolis, September 12, 1940, daughter of the late Frank David and Margaret Louise Anders Harrington.
She was a graduate of Washington High School in Indianapolis. For many years she was employed at the West Lane Florist Shop in Broad Ripple, which she later bought and operated. Previously she was employed by Crawford Industries and Livonia Lighting. In 1970 she moved to rural Crawfordsville, where she remained until her health failed.
She enjoyed time with her children and enjoyed cooking, hunting mushrooms being in the woods and had a love of horses.
Surviving are four daughters; Tina Lynn (husband Greg) of Eagan, MN, Tamara Lee (Billy) Edwards of Crawfordsville, Tracy Lane Mattingly of Crawfordsville and Terri Louise (husband Mark) Bryan of Hillsboro. A son; Tony Louis Mattingly of Crawfordsville. Grandchildren: Tony, Richard, Elizabeth, Christopher, Kathleen, Nicholas and Andrew. Six great-grandchildren also survive and one due soon. Preceding her in death along with her parents are two sisters: Patty Ann and Norma Lee, three brothers: Leonard, Donald and Howard. A grandson Thomas also preceded her in death.
A private family visitation and funeral with Pastor Mike Whitacre will take place Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, with burial to follow in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.
