Sally Louise Krentz Finck, age 68 of rural Valparaiso, passed away unexpectedly in the home of

her daughter, with whom she recently resided, Friday, January 26, 2024. She was born in

Michigan City, March 6, 1955 to the late Harvey and Elsie Daniels Krentz.

Sally was a graduate of Elston High School in Michigan City with the class of 1973. She received

both a BS and MS from Purdue University. Her career in teaching took her to Morgan Township

Schools, Boone Groove, Valparaiso Schools, North Judson-San Pierre and Christian Haven at

Wheatfield for over 25 years.

Sally moved from Valparaiso to live with her daughter last fall. She had a giving heart and

unselfishly cared for people. She loved her family and going to their activities. She had formerly

belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church in Valparaiso. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, spending

time with her grandkids and following their activities.

Surviving are: a daughter; Katie (Tyler) Wilson of rural New Richmond; Daniel (Rachelle) Finck

of Hutto, TX and David Finck of AZ. Grandchildren: Addison & Dean Finck, Thomas &Tucker.

Wilson, Austyn (Tyler) Ross, Madison Finck and great-granddaughter Dallys. Her Step-mother

Norma Krentz of South Bend. Two brothers Tim (Michelle) Krentz of Texas and Richard (Dee)

Krentz of Indiana. A sister Lynn (Sanjiv) Mittal of CA. Step-sister Mary Wiegand of IN and

Reverend Robert Dowd of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her father Harvey Krentz

and mother Elsie Daniels Krentz.

Sally's family will receive guests 4:30 – 6:00 PM Friday February 2, 2024 with a memorial service

following at 6:00 PM with Stacey Abernathy officiating at Family and Friends Funeral Home of
