Obituary

Sharon Lee Demoret, surrounded by the warmth of her family, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on August 26, 2024. Born on September 17, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to John R. Sheets and Helen (Stull) Sheets, Sharon was the cherished only child of her parents.

A 1958 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, Sharon was crowned Homecoming Queen, a reflection of the grace and kindness that would define her life. She went on to pursue her passion for helping others by earning a Nursing degree from Purdue University. For many years, Sharon dedicated herself to caring for those in need, serving as a nurse in various settings with unwavering compassion.

Sharon shared 66 beautiful years of marriage with her high school sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Wayne Demoret. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. A devoted member of Mt. Zion Church, Sharon was passionate about sharing the love of Christ, particularly through her work with children's ministries. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond people to include animals of all kinds, reflecting her belief that every one of God's creatures deserved care and compassion.

Sharon's home was a place of warmth and welcome, where she took joy in bringing people together with her home-cooked meals. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she never hesitated to offer a helping hand. Music was a source of great joy for Sharon, whether she was playing the piano or singing in the choir. It was a way for her to connect deeply with both her faith and those around her.

To her community, Sharon was a beacon of kindness and determination, known for her boundless heart and unwavering spirit. She was a blessing to many, always ready to lend her support to those in need. As a mother, Sharon was her children's greatest champion, and as a grandmother, she delighted in spoiling her granddaughters. Her legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her loving husband. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Demoret; her son, Robert Bradley (Dana) Demoret; her three granddaughters, Bryana (Ben) Williams, Julianne Demoret, and Savannah (Tanner) Thomas; her great-grandsons, Tate and Tripp Thomas; and her surrogate son by heart, Tony Reumler.
