December 28, 1949 – August 5, 2021
Terry Douglas Wade, Sr. formerly of Fountain County and currently living in Omaha, NE, passed away unexpectedly in Bergen Mercy Medical Center, Omaha, Thursday morning, August 5, 2021. Terry was born in Crawfordsville, December 28, 1949 son of the late Douglas L. Wade and Margaret Jean Lough Wade Mitchell. He was married to Debora A. Edwards on July 5, 1984 in Omaha and she survives. He had a previous marriage and they had two children.
Terry was a 1968 graduate of Fountain Central High School. He spent his career as a professional 'over the road' semi-truck driver, the past 34 years driving for Mail Contractors of America. He was awarded 'driver of the year' on several occasions and amassed many safe driving miles.
Terry enjoyed fishing and bowling when he was younger and attending children's sporting events. He was loving, kind, loyal and made Debbie feel loved. Terry and Debbie were 'fixed up' on a blind date and were married a short time later.
Surviving along with wife Debbie are: a daughter, Tammy Brown of rural Waynetown:, two sons, Terry (Tracy) Wade Jr. of Williamsport and Nicholas (Cassandra) Wade of Omaha. Grandchildren: Kelton and Trey Brown, Lindsey (Caleb) Winger, Terrron Wade, Aria Revoy. Great-grandchildren; Houston and Henley Winger. A cousin he thought of as a sister, Vickie (Robert) Peppler of Ft. Wayne, and several nieces also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry.
Visitation hours are 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, August 9, 2021 and funeral services 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 10, 2021 with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Chlldren's Research Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home, on line, or mail to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
