Theresa Mary Murphy Cyr, age 93, passed away at 9:14 AM May 25, 2023 in Fountain Springs-Covington. She was born in Ft. Kent, Maine, January 11, 1930, daughter of the late James and Mary Robichaud Murphy. She married Richard Cyr and he preceded her in death.

Theresa was a graduate of Ft. Kent High School and served as a bookkeeper for her husband's construction company. She will be remembered by many as a 'lunch mother' at her children's elementary school. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the church choir.

She lived in Aston, PA from 1953-1992, then in Woodstown, NJ 1992-2019. In 2019 she moved to Newtown, Indiana and lived with her son until August 2022 when she moved to Fountain Springs. Theresa loved music and enjoyed playing 'Phase 10' card game.

Surviving are: a son; James 'Jim' (Renee) Cyr of Newtown, IN. Grandchildren: Richard (Erikka) Cyr and their children, Liam, Lainey, Loralie and Kendall of Lafayette. Caitlyn (Alex) Barrick and their children Bristol and Kinley of Lafayette. A brother, Leo Murphy of Augusta, Maine and a sister Nathalie McGibbon of Millinocket, Maine. She was preceded by her parents, husband Richard, two sons; Wayne and Gerald.

Theresa will be laid to rest with her husband in Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA 10:30 AM Graveside Service Saturday, June 10, 2023 with Monsignor J.
