Thomas Ray McCormick age 74 of Waynetown, passed away in his home at 9:09 AM Monday, February 20, 2023, following a battle with cancer.  Tom was born in Crawfordsville August 24, 1948 to the late George and Mary Pierce McCormick.  He married Gina Faye Gillis May 5, 1968 in Crawfordsville and she survives.

Tom was a 1966 graduate of Coal Creek Central High School and attended Indiana State University.  He served with the United States Army as an MP 1968-1971.

He worked as a bricklayer and was involved in refractory work.  But his real passion was farming.  He was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

Surviving along with his wife Gina: a son; Marcus (Kelley) McCormick of Speedway and daughter Kara McCormick of Lake Holiday. Two brothers; Russ (Stephanie) McCormick of Ft. Wayne and Randy McCormick of Waynetown, a sister Ann Wright (Kipp) of Idaho.  Grandchildren; Michael (Teigan) McCormick & Nicholas (Allisa) McCormick. Great-grandchildren; Kolby Rae & Stetson Cash McCormick, sister-in-law Janet McCormick of Plainfield, also surviving are many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary McCormick, son Erick McCormick and brother Rodney McCormick.

A memorial/celebration of life service will be held 4:00 PM Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Waynetown Baptist Church with Eric Runyon officiating.  Tom's family  encourage anyone attending the service to consider sharing a story about Tom, during his celebration of life.  Memorials may be directed to the Waynetown Baptist Church.  Visit us at www.familyandfriendsfh.com to sign the guest book or share a condolence.
