Crawfordsville – Tracy Lane Mattingly, age 52, of Crawfordsville, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Ben Hur Health & Rehab, following several years of failing health. She was born in Indianapolis, May 29, 1965, daughter of the late Nelson Earl and RoseMarie Harrington Mattingly.
Tracy was a life resident of Montgomery County and attended South Mont High School. She had been employed as an office manager for Systems Contracting who is a contractor for Nucor. She was a member of Byron Christian Church.
She enjoyed riding her 'Harley', the outdoors, flowers, fishing and family. Tracy was non-judgmental, happy, had a great sense of humor and her mother referred to her as her 'free willed child'! Tracy was an very helpful person, but could be a little 'colorful and fiesty' is provoked. She had a beautiful voice, enjoyed karaoke and loved music.
Surviving are: a son; Andrew Jerrel Smith of Crawfordsville and a daughter; Elizabeth Ann Scott of Eagan, MN, three sisters; Tina Lynn (Gregory D.) Scott of Eagan, MN, Tamara (Billy) Edwards of rural Crawfordsville and Terri Louise (Mark) Bryant of rural Hillsboro, a brother; Tony Louis Mattingly of Speedway, two grandchildren; Elijah and Ezekiel Scott, five nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Thomas Cecil Smith.
Private family services will be held at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate with Mike Whitacre officiating and she will be buried beside her mother in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
